I believe that an organizational code of ethic cannot prevent unethical behaviors but can significantly influence employees' decisions. In this case, if an employee understands that taking a particular course of action violates their organizational ethical code, they are likely to pursue a different path. There is evidence that employees are unwilling to violate their organizational code of ethics unless it results in a significant advantage over other actions they take as they risk being reprimanded (Fallon & McConnell,2013).
